Examining Seed Germination Rate and Seedlings Gas Exchange Performances of Some Turkish Red Pine Provenances Under Water Stress

With climate change, global warming has increased adverse effects on living things in our country. In these effects, water scarcity is the most crucial problem due to increase temperature and decrease precipitation. Forests are affected ecosystem among others by This study tried determine 5-year-old seeds 1-year-old seedlings (produced from same seeds) of some Turkish red pine provenance’ responses different stress levels. First, how levels (0, -0.2, -0.4, -0.6, -0.8 MPa) affect seed germination provenances was determined. Secondly, gas exchange parameters [net photosynthesis (Anet), stomatal conductance (gs), transpiration (E), intrinsic use efficiency (iWUE)] under were determined obtained species' seeds. As a result test, Denizli-Çameli (DC) provenance had highest rate (48%), while Mara?-Suçat? lowest (29%) control treatment. The Burdur/Bucak (5%) -0.2 MPa osmotic potential.
